Psquare Drama Deepens: VeryDarkMan Loses 13,000 Followers As Soso Offers Peter N500m To Fight Paul
The Psquare family drama between Peter and Paul Okoye is getting messier by the day, and now social media activist VeryDarkMan and music executive Soso Soberekon have been dragged into it.
In the last 24 hours, two major stories have dominated social media in Nigeria – VeryDarkMan losing followers for supporting Peter, and a N500 million boxing fight offer for Peter to face his twin brother Paul.
VeryDarkMan Loses 13k Followers Over Psquare Drama

Controversial activist VeryDarkMan has reacted after reports claimed he lost about 13,000 followers on Instagram for intervening in the Psquare family dispute.
VeryDarkMan, who has been vocal in supporting Peter Okoye amid his royalty dispute with Paul and their elder brother Jude Okoye, dismissed the loss, saying follower count does not define his influence.
Reacting in a video, VDM said:
“I don’t care! What are the 13,000 people doing for me? 2 million should go; I don’t care. You have done this before during the time of Wizkid. If one million no comot I will be surprised. But you have to take this home. If you people are not able to beat me, I become more powerful and more influential. It happened during the time of Mohbad, all of you against me and I became more influential.”
This is not the first time VDM is facing backlash. He faced similar unfollow campaigns during the Wizkid and Mohbad controversies, but according to him, each attack only made him bigger.

Soso Soberekon Offers Peter N500m To Box Paul

While VDM was losing followers, billionaire music executive Soso Soberekon made the Psquare drama more entertaining by offering N500 million to Peter Okoye to fight his twin brother Paul Okoye in a celebrity boxing match.
The offer was made on Sunday night during Peter’s performance. A viral video showed Soso in the crowd raising his phone to the stage, with a message that read: “500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
Soso’s offer comes amid the ongoing financial dispute between Peter and Paul. The feud intensified after Peter accused Paul and Jude of diverting music royalties and filed a petition with the EFCC.
Things have also gotten complicated with the EFCC matter as commission reportedly informed a court in Lagos that Peter, could not provide a case for withdrawal of N1.3bn Jude was alleged to have frauduently withdrawn from accounts that does not even exist.
They were also ordered to be remanded while pending Jude case with the company over N1.3bn fraud, was however adjourned after Peter failed to present him as a witness in the matter.
What This Means For Psquare Fans in Western Nigeria
For fans in Ibadan, Akure, Osogbo, and Abeokuta who grew up listening to Psquare hits like “Do Me”, “Personally”, and “No One Be Like You”, this drama is painful.
Many fans in Western Nigeria want Psquare back together, but the twin brothers seem to be drifting apart. Peter recently revealed that his online growth froze after their reunion – he used to gain 100,000 followers daily before they came back, but everything changed after.
Will Peter accept Soso’s N500m offer to box Paul? Most fans think it will never happen. But the fact that someone is ready to put half a billion naira on the table shows how big Psquare still is.
Meanwhile, in their end the VeryDarkMan has said it all, that even if 2million followers stop following him, he will still speak about Psquare-fiasco.
What do you think should peter collect 500 million to face paul in ring? And was VDM right to intervene in Psquare family matter? Drop your comment.
