Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, aka Davido, is trending again and this time it’s not for music.
In a series of viral interviews making rounds this week, the OBO crooner dropped three shocking revelations that have got fans talking across Instagram, X, and Facebook.
From wanting to become a taxi driver in Nollywood to banning his children from doing music, Davido held nothing back.
1. “I Want To Start Acting Movies – I Want To Be A Taxi Driver” – Davido
Davido has revealed his next big move after music – acting.
Speaking at a recent event, the singer said he definitely wants to get involved in movies, both in Nollywood and Hollywood. But unlike what many expect, he doesn’t want a flashy billionaire role.
Reports have it that Davido once confessed he actually wanted to act an all-rounder role like taxi driver, so everyone would know he’s actually a ‘good actor.’
“I definitely want to get involved in movies. Even in America, a lot of musicians produce films and series about their lives,” he said.
He also revealed he plans to invest in African stories and produce films that reflect real African experiences, citing the growth of the African movie industry.
This is not his first time in movies. He previously had a cameo performance in Coming to America 2.

2. “My Kids Will Never Do Music” – Why Davido Bans Children From Entertainment
Davido revealed in a subsequent trending interview with The Breakfast Club that he does not want his kids to be in the music industry.
The father of four said his kids will work in his father, Dr. Deji Adeleke’s companies instead.
His reason? The industry is too tough.
Narrating how his own father initially refused to support his music career before his breakthrough “killed his joy”, Davido said he doesn’t want his kids to suffer the same stress.
“My kids will work in my father’s companies, not in entertainment industry,” he said. However, he added he would still support any of them who insists on doing entertainment.
Fans are divided over this, with many saying his children have automatic access to his father’s billions, so they don’t need the stress.
3. “I’m The Only Billionaire’s Child Who Made Name & Money For Himself”
In the third viral clip, Davido bragged that he is the only billionaire’s child who built his own name and wealth without relying on his father’s money.
Adedeji Adeleke, a business honcho’s son Davido explained what makes a world of difference between him (David Adeleke, the billionaire’s son) and (Davido, the hard working music artist).
This post has led to much controversy as a lot of people agreed that asides 2012 ‘Dami Duro, Davido actually built his brand on his own from top to bottom.
Also, he has said while even though I am successful in my field, my father still pays his grandchildren’s school fees till date.

Davido’s revelations have caused mixed reactions. Some fans are excited to see him in Nollywood, while others are surprised he would stop his kids from doing music.
