EDE, Nigeria — Osun NYSC camp 2026 allowance, date, things to bring now matter to thousands.
As of June 16, 2026, 7:30 a.m, the National Youth Service Corps shifted Osun orientation dates. While other states start April 22, Osun and Enugu begin April 28 due to renovations. The camp ends May 18, 2026. For corps members posted to Western Nigeria, this changes travel, cash, and packing plans.
We will update this post if NYSC adjusts again. Updated June 16, 2026.
Osun NYSC Camp 2026 Date and Why It Changed [Updated]
NYSC runs three batches yearly. Batch A 2026 Stream II was set for April 22 to May 12 nationwide. However, Osun and Enugu camps face ongoing renovations.
As a result, Osun corps members report April 28 instead. The new date affects Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, and Oyo graduates posted to Osun. Meanwhile, Lagos and FCT camps keep the old date.
“Parents should note the shift,” said Mr. Ita Kubiangha, Osun NYSC Coordinator. “Night travel exposes corps members to risks,” he added. The scheme urged daytime travel and registered motor parks only.
Osun NYSC Camp 2026 Allowance: How Much and When It’s Paid
Corps members receive three payments in camp, according to NYSC documents:
- Transport allowance – Paid on arrival.
- Bicycle allowance – Paid during camp.
- First monthly federal allowance – Paid before camp ends.
The federal allowance is ₦77,000 per month in 2026. Payment timelines may vary. In addition, many states and PPAs pay top-ups from ₦5,000 to ₦50,000+.
The 2026 budget, which already makes provision for improved kits and transport allowance, has been approved, according to Brig Gen Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the NYSC DG from Ileogbo, Osun State. In addition to improved kits, the federal government has approved 50,000 more slots for corps members, thereby raising to 450,000 the number of graduates to be mobilized.
“Corps members earn ₦77,000 monthly from the federal government,” NYSC stated.
